Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health: Recipes for Healthy Teeth

To help you learn how to cook dishes that are tasty and help keep your smile healthy, Delta Dental of Arizona partnered with Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health (NOAH) to curate a collection of mouth-healthy recipes. From snacks to drinks to main meals, these recipes are easy to make, and they come with tips from nutrition and dental experts.

In this YouTube playlist, you’ll find videos for fun and easy recipes for healthy teeth. These experts will show you how to make cheesy chicken broccoli casserole, creamy veggie dip, a piña colada smoothie, a very berry parfait and overnight oats. As you learn about the recipes and consider what makes them healthy, ask yourself:

  • What food groups does each one include?
  • How do they help your mouth and your body stay healthy?
  • Which recipe are you most likely to try at home?

The cheesy chicken broccoli casserole can be made from cooked chicken breast, broccoli, cheese, cans of condensed broccoli cheese soup and seasoning cooked at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Or make creamy veggie dip using mayonnaise, low fat plain yogurt, garlic salt, onion powder, pepper and Italian seasoning and serve with veggies. Learn how to make a piña colada smoothie with frozen banana and pineapple, coconut milk, ice and coconut shreds. A very berry parfait can be made from nonfat Greek yogurt with berries and granola, seeds or nuts of your choosing. Overnight oats are made from milk, chia seeds, peanut butter, maple syrup, oats and granola or fruit as a topping. For additional accessibility, the recipes for the piña colada smoothie and very berry parfait are available in Spanish as well.
