How To Make Toothpaste Slime | Dental Worksheet
Sept. 22
Typically, we use toothpaste in order to keep your teeth clean. But, with this activity, you can make use of it in a fun craft to make slime! Click on the provided image in order to view the whole dental worksheet and follow the instructions to make your toothpaste slime.
The supplies you’ll need are a gel-based toothpaste, school glue, and sugar. If you’d like to make your slime prettier, you may use food coloring and glitter, but that is completely optional.
To make the slime, get a paper plate and squeeze out a glob of toothpaste and a glob of glue onto it. Mix the toothpaste and the glue together until it’s combined and has a slightly slimy texture. To make the slime more solid, mix in the sugar to the toothpaste and glue mixture. At this point, the slime should stick to your spoon without easily falling off and is ready for customization. Add in any food coloring or glitter you want to add. Now, you can play with your slime!
Use this craft to spawn discussions! The toothpaste we use now wasn’t invented until the 1850s and that it used to be in a powder form. You can keep your teeth clean by brushing your teeth twice a day using fluoride toothpaste. This removes the bacteria from your mouth and prevents the formation of cavities. Discuss things like if you brush your teeth in the morning, the color of your toothbrush, and your favorite kind of toothpaste.
Have fun with this craft and make slime to play with while also remembering to keep your teeth clean. Brush and floss twice a day like dentists recommend. After you finish making your toothpaste slime, share this dental worksheet with a friend so that they can make their own toothpaste slime!
