In order to floss correctly, follow these simple steps. First, take about 18 inches of floss and wrap each end around your middle or index finger on each hand. Switch the used part of the floss to your other hand as you begin. Hold the floss tightly between your index fingers and thumbs. Then, guide the floss gently between your teeth and rub, not snap, the floss against the sides of your teeth in the shape of a C, making sure to get between your gums and your teeth. Keep the floss tight to your tooth and continue the motion between each tooth.

Other than brushing your teeth, you can do many fun things with your floss! You can have an adult help you make some string art, a tiny bow and arrow, replace a broken shoe lace, slice a piece of cake, and even make a hair tie!
