Big League Brusher | Dental Worksheet

Did you know that if you brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes every day, you will have brushed for twenty four hours each year? Dentists recommend that you brush your teeth that often for that long. They also recommend flossing your teeth at least once a day. Use this dental worksheet to discover teeth brushing tips and make your smile happy and healthy!

When brushing your teeth, you only need a pea sized amount of toothpaste on your toothbrush. This helps clean your teeth while preventing waste. You should also be brushing your teeth at a 45 degree angle. In the two minutes you’re brushing your teeth, try to break it up into four sections. Each quadrant of your mouth should be brushed for about 30 seconds. Brush gently and in an oval-shaped motion. As a general guideline, you should replace your toothbrush every three months. Make sure to replace it sooner if the bristles are frayed earlier. Also, don’t forget to brush your tongue!

You shouldn’t rush through toothbrushing time if you want your teeth to be clean and healthy. In two minutes, you can also be doing things like checking the mail, watching a TV commercial, doing 50 jumping jacks, having your dog play outside, and playing rock, paper, scissors.
